Defending the Freedom of Bodily Autonomy

June 23, 2022 @ 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Join us on Thursday, June 23rd from 6-9 pm as we help raise money for Indigenous Women Rising, Just the Pill, and Our Justice, three different nonprofits working to support people to have autonomy over their bodies. The night will be educational with speakers from each individual nonprofit, games, raffles, and more.
As bodily autonomy is threatened in the wake of Roe v. Wade possibly being turned over, the ability for people to have dominion over their own bodies is being threatened. On top of that, barriers to reproductive justice impact poor people and people of color at disproportionate rates. We as a company feel that this is a right worth fighting for and hope that people will not only find the fundraiser to be educational but also fun as we help raise money for organizations fighting for these rights.
$1 from every beer sold during the event plus the proceeds from the raffles and the games will also be donated to the respective organizations.

Bodily autonomy is the simple but radical concept that individuals have the right to control what does and does not happen to their bodies. When we have full bodily autonomy, not only are we empowered to make decisions about our health and future – without coercion or control by others – we also have the support and resources needed to meaningfully carry out these decisions.
