Fermenting Our Place Screening & Beer Release

Join us in the Teal Room on Saturday, June 20, from 2-5 pm for a special short-film screening and beer release.

We’ll be screening Fermenting Our Place, a 10-minute short film by Onteya Zachary, following Modist Brewing Co. Head Brewer Bri Smith over her 5-year journey to become MN’s first Black woman head brewer, as well as releasing De-Pale The Ale, a Pale Ale collab with Brewing Change Collaborative.

Fermenting Our Place will start screening at 3 pm, followed by a moderated panel by Dan Beaubin of A One Pint Stand.

De-Pale The Ale is a Pale Ale brewed with Briess Heritage Gold, Weyermann Abbey Malt, and Fuggle hops, dry hopped with Idaho 7 Cryo. A portion of proceeds will go to BIPOC Foodways Alliance, and cans and 4-packs to go will be available during the event.
