A Sport for the Sneaky and the Swift

You heard right. We turned cloud watching into a full-blown competitive sport.

And no, it’s not about lying in a field naming shapes like “sad dinosaur” or “angry bean dad.” This is Cloud Hiding. Cloud Finding. Head-to-head. One-on-one. Best-of-three. Bracket style. And yeah—there are prizes.

☁️ What the Hell Is This?

The Cloud Watching Competition is a fast-paced 1v1 sport that’s part stealth, part sprint, and part psychological warfare.

Here’s how it works:

1. Each player selects a cloud from a provided set (or bring your own—size rules apply).
2. Clouds are hidden in each player’s designated zone. Hiding happens in the open, at the same time, in front of everyone. You’ve got 45 seconds.
3. Once hidden, players sprint to their opponent’s side to find their cloud.
4. First one to find and raise it to the sky wins the round.
5. Best 2 out of 3 moves on in the bracket.

Simple? Sure. Easy? Absolutely not.

🕵️‍♀️ Decoys, Mind Games, and Mayhem

Each player is allowed three decoys per match. Use them wisely—they stay in play until found.

Here’s the catch:

• Each decoy costs you 10 seconds of search time after hiding.
• You can only use each decoy once per opponent.
• Decoys reset with each new matchup.

Distraction is part of the game. Confuse. Misdirect. Get weird with it.

🧑‍⚖️ The Judges

We’re keeping things tight and fair with three judges:

• Head Judge: Stationed center field. Final call on disputes. Settles ties.
• Side Judges (2): One per side, watching the players in their zones and confirming valid cloud finds.

They see everything. Don’t try to get clever unless you’re clever enough to pull it off.

📍 Modist’s Warehouse

🕛 Schedule:

• 12:00–1:00 pm – Free Play + Onsite Registration (First-come, first-served until brackets are full)
• 1:00–3:00 pm – Tournament Play

Each round, players swap sides. Coin toss decides who chooses their starting side. Round 3 (if necessary) will return to your original side from Round 1.

All materials provided, but feel free to BYOC (Bring Your Own Cloud) as long as it’s:

• Between 2×2” and 4×4”
• Initialed on the back
• Not alive, sentient, or plotting anything
