CBC brought a bunch of friends, old and new, into the brewery. We had only one option, to roll out the red carpet AKA bake some homemade, fully modified Tater Tot Hotdish (coloquially, TTHD). Our good friends at Other Half stopped by, all the way from NYC, to brew a TTHD inspired DDH Double IPA that we’re obviously calling Tater Tot Hotdish (but you can call it TTHD).

Introducing Tater Tot Hotdish: our DDH Double IPA brewed with 2 row, malted wheat, malted oats, pale ale, flaked oats & flaked rye. Whirlpool hopped w/ Cryo Citra, Idaho 7 & Motueka. Double dry hopped w/ HBC586, Strata & Nelson Sauvin. ABV: 8%

Tater Tot Hotdish will be available in the taproom starting Saturday 5/28 and will be hitting liquor stores harder than the blizzard of 91’ starting Tuesday 5/31. Check back Tuesday for local delivery schedules

Introducing Blueberry Dive, our collab with Great Notion: a Tropical Blueberry Margarita Gose brewed with malted white wheat and pilsner malt then conditioned on blueberries, key lime juice, pineapple juice, agave nectar and sea salt.

Blueberry Dive will be available online and in the taproom Saturday 5/21 and will be diving into liquor stores beginning Tuesday 5/24. Check back on Tuesday for local delivery schedules.

Hang gliding is pretty cool, but soaring through the clouds can be a daunting task. Maybe it’s a little too much. Maybe all you need is a little baby Small Hang Glide, safely on your own two feet firmly planted on the ground.

Introducing Small Hang Glide, a Wheat Pale Ale brewed with malted white wheat, 2 row barley and pilsner malt. Hopped and dry hopped with Bravo, Amarillo and Citra. ABV:6%

Small Hang Glide will be released in the taproom on Saturday, May 14th and will begin gliding into liquor stores on Tuesday, May 17th.

You wake up in the middle of the night, eyes wide open, unable to move. A dark figure looms over you. You break from that horrific paralysis and clench your Reaper Cushions. Your breath calms. Sweet dreams from here on out.

Introducing Reaper Cushions, a Helles brewed with German Barke pilsner malt and kettle hopped with Hallertauer Mittelfrüh and Huell Melon. Then lagered and conditioned in our oak foeders. ABV: 4.8%

Reaper Cushions will be released in the taproom on Saturday, May 14th and will begin creeping into liquor stores on Tuesday, May 17th.

Reemerging from a dystopian hellscape, after years of no sightings, is Lord Humungus. Resurrected solely for our anniversary party is this Imperial Rye Stout born from the blood and fire of the Wasteland. Brewed motor oil thick with a grain of over 53% malted rye, caramel rye and chocolate rye. Then conditioned on copious amounts of toasted coconut, macadamia nuts and Madagascar vanilla beans, it’s unstoppable with ABV: 11.5%

Lord Humungus will be released in the taproom and online Saturday, April 30th.

Policy: Order via our online store on Saturday 4/30 at 9am. (Website does not have cart protection) Limit 2 bottles per person. It will then go on tap in the taproom at noon. All pre-purchased bottles must be picked up on Saturday April 30th or Sunday May 1st, during taproom hours. All bottles not picked up over the weekend will be refunded and put back into our inventory and will be available for purchase on Tuesday, May 3rd via our online store and in the taproom.

This is the beer that started it all. A beer that stood alone without a style that fit. And the beer that set the tone for what Modist is today.

Re-introducing Wasteland: Rye IPA brewed with malted rye, red x malt, and red crystal rye, then hopped and double dry hopped with Columbus Cryo and Centennial. ABV: 7.5%

Wasteland will be released in the taproom on Saturday, April 30th and will begin storming liquor stores on Tuesday, May 2nd. Check back on Tuesday for the local delivery schedule.

Summer, summer, summertime. Time to sit back and unwind… With this crusher of a beer. Like going to the corner store and picking up a cool drink on a hot day, this is going to be one hell of a summer with this refreshing lemon-lime lager.

Introducing Into It: a Lager brewed with pilsner malt, conditioned on a blend of lemon juice, lemon crystals, lime juice and key limes. ABV: 4.5%

Into It will be released in the taproom on Saturday, April 30th and will begin crushing liquor stores on Tuesday, May 2nd.

Extraterrestrial beings descended from above to bring us the gift of out of this world hops called HBC 586. This is an experimental hops cultivar developed by the Hop Breeding Company. HBC 586 delivers a large medley of fruit flavors associated with tropical fruits. The fruity flavors of HBC 586 have been described as mango, guava, lychee, and citrus. Many find it to have fruit flavors that are special and new to the world of hops.

Introducing Gifts From Above, our new Yakima Chief Hops x Great Notion x Modist collaboration. Double Dry Hopped New England Double IPA brewed with wheat, oats, flaked oats and pale ale malt. Hopped and double dry hopped with Yakima Chief Hops experimental hop variety HBC 586, Cryo HBC 586, Citra and Cryo Sabro. ABV: 8%

Gifts From Above will be released in the taproom on Saturday, April 23rd and will begin to invade liquor stores on Tuesday, April 26th. This will be SUPER limited in liquor stores so be sure to check back on Tuesday for the local delivery schedule.
