Modist began when friends decided to start a brewery, and then we did.
The name is derived from the verb “modify,” which is inherent in our brewing philosophy and in every aspect of our lives. Pushing past style guidelines that have dominated beer, we decided to design custom equipment that allows us to brew beer that has no compromise.
